WSOP Gold Rings and Tournament of Champions seats up for grabs

Similar to the live circuit, online poker players in Michigan will now have the chance to win a WSOP Circuit gold ring, a highly coveted prize in the poker community, every night.

The winners of the WSOP Michigan Online Circuit Series will earn automatic qualification for the exclusive “Tournament of Champions” $1 million freeroll tournament. This prestigious event is reserved solely for winners of both live and online circuit tournaments. Scheduled as the grand finale of the 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Tournament of Champions will take place on July 18.

Building on success of April’s WSOP MI Online Circuit

Less than two months after WSOP MI opened its doors, May’s WSOP MI Circuit Series aims to replicate the success of last month’s inaugural circuit series.

Similar to the upcoming series, April’s also ensures a substantial prize pool of $510,000, albeit with a distinct lineup of events. The 12 events organized in April generated a remarkable sum of $824,653 in prize money, surpassing the promised amount by over 61%.

When will interstate poker come to Michigan?

Less than two weeks after WSOP MI launched, Michigan was officially included in the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) alongside Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware on April 6.

It was only a matter of time before such an announcement was made, considering that Michigan’s online poker became operational in January 2021, with state regulations allowing for potential expansion across state lines right from the start.

However exciting it may be to join the MSIGA, the state remains ring-fenced and will continue to do so until it fulfills the additional licensing requirements mandated by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

Once online poker sites in Michigan successfully resolve all their issues, players from all states involved will undoubtedly reap the rewards. Michigan’s population, which hovers around 10 million, will significantly contribute to the existing player pool. Collectively, New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware have a population of approximately 13 million.
