The identity of the mysterious partner has been revealed.

Michigan has secured a 10-year agreement with Wynn Resorts to introduce their online sports betting and casino platforms in the state.

According to a press release, the agreement is facilitated by GAN, a software provider with access to Kewadin Casinos.

Kewadin Casinos is access partner for Wynn

In March, GAN and Kewadin, a group of five tribal casinos located in the Upper Peninsula, revealed their collaboration.

GAN has announced that it will be the provider for retail sports betting services at Kewadin’s Christmas, Hessel, Manistique, Sault Ste. Marie, and St. Ignace locations.

According to the release, a prominent US casino operator client of GAN, who has asked to remain anonymous until specific regulatory approvals are obtained, was mentioned.

It has been revealed that another brand will be joining Wynn Sportsbook and Casino, adding to the competition in the market, and it is a well-known name.

Wynn Sportsbook expects to be ready for online launch

Since the passing of expanded gambling laws in December, Michigan bettors have eagerly anticipated the launch of online gambling.

The most recent estimates indicate that the launch is scheduled for late November.

According to the announcement on Monday, Wynn will be at the starting gate, but this is subject to all regulatory approvals.

Gaming brand looking to break into online market

While Wynn is well-known in the gambling industry, its presence in online sports betting and casino is not as prominent.

In 2005, Steve Wynn, a prominent developer, unveiled the colossal Wynn Las Vegas on the Strip. Additionally, his company manages Encore Boston Harbor in Massachusetts, along with the esteemed Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace in China’s Cotai region.

In August, Wynn Sports and Wynn Online Casino made their unassuming debut in New Jersey. It is worth noting that New Jersey has been permitting legal online gambling since 2013.

Originally, the Wynn Sportsbook was exclusively available as an app in the Garden State. Within the app, users could access online casino games through a designated tab.

Additionally, the company has an online sportsbook available in Nevada, with plans for Wynn to eventually expand its services to Colorado and Indiana.

Retail sportsbook in the pipeline at Kewadin Casinos

On Saturday, Gun Lake Casino in Wayland, near Grand Rapids, added to Michigan’s retail sportsbook count, bringing the total to 14 with the launch of Stage 131 Sportsbook and Lounge.

Kewadin is gearing up to introduce GAN-powered sports betting across all five of its casinos in the near future. Currently, the undisclosed online partner has left GAN thrilled about the immense possibilities in Michigan.

Jeffrey B. Berman, GAN’s chief commercial officer, expressed anticipation for leveraging our finely tuned technology platform to empower the Wynn brand in Michigan. Our objective is to assist Wynn in effectively allocating their marketing resources to draw in dedicated sports betting and iGaming enthusiasts.
