This Saturday, WWE’s Royal Rumble celebrates its 36th edition, an often underestimated chance to make some extra cash.
Although Michigan sportsbooks do not provide odds for professional wrestling in the United States, participants can engage in free-to-play pools as part of the Royal Rumble event.
Blaming the Michigan Gaming Control Board for not including professional wrestling in the list of permitted events for betting is unjustifiable. One might question, what would come next? Gambling on reality shows?
Since my childhood, being a devoted fan of professional wrestling, the Royal Rumble has consistently remained one of my most cherished events every year.
The Royal Rumble can be described as the “Avengers: Endgame” of the pre-scripted stunt world. It brings together the finest talents of today, yesterday, and the future, making it a truly epic event that also holds a hint of intrigue.
This weekend, discover some exciting ways to enhance your Royal Rumble experience.
What is the Royal Rumble?
The Royal Rumble is a yearly event organized by World Wrestling Entertainment, in case you are not familiar with it.
The event features regular singles or tag team matches, but the main attraction is undeniably the “Royal Rumble” match.
During the Royal Rumble, a group of 30 contenders engage in fierce competition, with only one ultimately being declared the victor.
In a WWE event, a unique process called a “random draw” takes place. The first participant, selected through this draw, begins the match alongside the second participant. As time passes, typically ranging from 60 seconds to 2 minutes, the subsequent participants gradually enter the ring. This sequence continues until all 30 participants have joined the match.
The winner is determined in a wrestling match by eliminating competitors through throwing them over the top rope, causing both feet to touch the floor. Once 29 wrestlers have been eliminated, the last remaining participant is declared the victorious survivor.
Adding a women’s Royal Rumble in 2018 has effectively doubled the excitement of the event. With this addition, there is now twice the intrigue and twice the fun to be experienced.
