PokerStars Michigan aims to transform Thanksgiving into a festive occasion for tournament poker, in addition to being a time for family, football, and indulging in turkey.
PokerStars MI has recently unveiled their upcoming event, Fall Fest 50/50, scheduled to run from November 20th to 29th.
The series is aptly named to mirror its distinctive timetable, featuring 50 tournaments, each with a $50 entry fee. The cumulative guaranteed prize pools for the entire series will exceed $500,000.
Same buy-ins, but wide variety of formats, structures for 10-day series
To clarify, the exact total amount guaranteed for Fall Fest 50/50 will be $507,000. While the buy-ins remain constant, the formats for the 50 tournaments will vary significantly.
The majority of events featured are in the format of no-limit hold’em. However, there is a diverse range of options within NLHE, including re-entry events, freezeouts, progressive knockout bounty tournaments, Zoom (fast-fold) events, short-handed and full-ring events, deep-stacked events, as well as turbos and hyper-turbos.
In addition, there are various tournaments that do not involve NLHE. These include pot-limit Omaha (both high only and hi-lo), no-limit Omaha hi-lo, H.O.R.S.E., Badugi, and razz events.
The schedule is filled with multiple “Fall Brawls” events, each adopting the PKO format with different knockout (KO) values. Additionally, there is an intriguing event called “Last Man Standing,” where only the top seven participants will receive cash prizes, and the winner will walk away with an impressive 75% of the total prize pool.
Starting on Sunday, November 28th, the two-day Main Event will commence. This event requires a $50 buy-in and offers an impressive guaranteed prize pool of $50,000, the highest amount in the entire Fall Fest 50/50 schedule. You can find the complete schedule below.
Freerolls, satellites offer inexpensive ways to play PokerStars Fall Fest 50/50
PokerStars MI’s typical lineup of satellites and freerolls are included with the series.
To gain a complimentary entry into the Depositor Freeroll, players must deposit a minimum of $50 into their PokerStars MI accounts using the promo code “FALL21” before 1:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 28. This exclusive event, taking place at 2 p.m. ET, will grant 50 Main Event seats, each valued at $2,500.
During the series from Nov. 21-28, there will be Second Chance Freerolls available. If a player is eliminated from a Fall Fest 50/50 tournament without winning any cash, they will be automatically entered into the freeroll tournament the next day. These freerolls will distribute Fall Fest 50/50 tournament tickets worth $1,000.
Fall Fest 50/50 events have already commenced at PokerStars MI, with satellites readily available for participation, priced at a mere $5 to enter.
During Thanksgiving week, Michigan poker players will have an additional tournament option with Fall Fest 50/50. This series will offer competition to the End Boss Poker Series at BetMGM Poker MI, which is scheduled from November 23rd to November 28th and consists of seven thrilling tournaments.
