Live Dealer games launch in Michigan

Take a seat and get ready to make your wagers: Michigan now offers live dealer online casino games.

From the comfort of your own home, engage in thrilling games of blackjack, baccarat, and roulette with a live dealer overseeing the action all the way from a Southfield studio. Experience the excitement of playing with real money, right from your own living space.

After undergoing an on-site visit and various checks, Evolution was approved by the Michigan Gaming Control Board on Wednesday. Consequently, the games were launched on the morning of July 22.

Players of live dealer casino games can experience a level of social interaction that is often absent in other online casino games in Michigan. These games offer enhanced transparency to address any concerns players may have about fairness, all while providing the convenience of playing from the comfort of their own homes.

For individuals who have concerns about the coronavirus and prefer to play remotely for the time being, this feature serves as an enticing option.

Live dealer games were rolling quickly Thursday

On July 22, precisely one hour after its launch, Evolution had a total of five regular blackjack tables in operation.

The minimum bet amount for regular blackjack was set at $30 per hand.

However, there was also a variant called infinite blackjack, which allowed an unlimited number of players to occupy a single seat and take individual actions. On July 22, approximately 200 players were engaged in this game, with a minimum bet requirement of $1 at that particular table. Additionally, numerous side bets were offered for players to consider.

As of July 22, at 5 p.m. ET, there were over 250 players participating in the infinite blackjack game, filling up the two $30 tables with a capacity of seven seats each.

During lunchtime, there were five players gathered around the baccarat table, while the two roulette tables were occupied by over twenty-four players.

At the close of the work day, there were 15 individuals engaged in playing baccarat, while 45 individuals were immersed in a game of live roulette.

Live dealer casino games were a game-changer in other states

Live dealer casino games have already been introduced in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, both of which generate higher monthly revenue than Michigan.

The feature played a crucial role in jumpstarting the initially sluggish market in New Jersey. Currently, New Jersey stands at the forefront of online casino revenue nationwide, having generated $107 million in June. This marked the fifth consecutive month in which the Garden State achieved such impressive figures.

In contrast, Michigan has consistently generated impressive nine-figure revenues in recent months, with June’s figures reaching a staggering $89.2 million.

On Thursday, the state introduced its live dealer games, precisely six months after the online casinos and online sports betting were launched on January 22nd.
