Michigan Lottery Adds $300 Million Diamond Riches Instant Game
The Michigan Lottery announced Tuesday the release of the $300,000,000 Diamond Riches instant game, its richest game ever.
It’s the first ever $50 instant game ticket from the Michigan Lotto, and its prizes range from $50 to $6 million. The $6 million prize is the largest ever offered on an instant game in Michigan.

Tickets for the Diamond Riches instant game are available at the state’s 10,000-plus lottery retailers. Each ticket gives players 50 chances to win.
The $6 million prize can be paid out in 30 annual payments of $200,000 or a lump sum of approximately $4.1 million.
The game also features 100 $50,000 prizes. Michigan Lottery players won more than $1.8 billion on instant games in 2021. Several large prizes have been claimed in 2022.
Non-winning tickets are also eligible to enter a second-chance drawing, which pays up to $100,000. Players can scan their losing ticket on the Michigan Lottery mobile app by Nov. 13, 2022, to enter.
Ten second-chance drawings will be held, and each will award one $100,000 winner, five $10,000 winners, 20 $1,000 winners and 60 $500 winners.
Diamond Riches not only provides the largest payouts for an instant game, but it also offers retailers the largest commissions ever, with more than $30.7 million.
Diamond Riches game celebrating 50 years of Michigan Lottery
The release of the game is part of the lottery celebrating 50 years of contributions to the Michigan School Aid Fund.
Since 1972, the Michigan Lottery has contributed more than $26 billion to the School Aid Fund. The contribution of $1.419 billion in fiscal year 2021 was a record for the state. It was the seventh straight year a record contribution had been made.
The record-breaking contributions began in 2015, with $795.5 million. The $1.419 in 2021 billion is nearly double that initial record.
Lottery contributions to the School Aid Fund over the prior six years were:
- 2020: $1.179 billion
- 2019: $1.070 billion
- 2018: $941.2 million
- 2017: $924.1 million
- 2016: $888.9 million
- 2015: $795.5 million
