Series follows successful BetMGM Poker Championship

This online series comes on the heels of the BetMGM Poker Championship, which was held in late June at ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Joey Weissman came away with the title, cashing out $224,236.

Michigan’s Steve Bayyouk and Ryan Shinevare each cashed $19,757 by finishing 11th and 12th, respectively. Both qualified online through BetMGM Poker. New Jersey’s Benji Felson, who finished fifth, was the only online qualifier to finish above them.

“We’re excited to follow-up on the momentum we gathered in Las Vegas through this month’s online event, the Summer Classic,” Luke Staudenmaier, BetMGM Director of Poker, said in a release. “The Classic, which spotlights America’s pastime, features buy-in levels and game variants for all players.”
