However, living in these times of interconnectedness, the Northern Waters Casino Resort in Watersmeet is offering a unique experience this autumn.
The Contemporary at Northern Waters Resort Art Gallery will showcase a diverse collection of privately collected artworks by a renowned anonymous street artist from the United Kingdom. This exclusive exhibit, offered free of charge, will run for two months starting just before Labor Day weekend. The casino resort is managed by the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.

At 7 p.m. Central Time on Friday, Sept. 3, the public will have the opportunity to attend the exhibition titled “Banksy Takes a Break” (Because Even Artists Take a Vacation). As revealed by a casino news release, this showcase will feature a collection of authenticated and certified prints, paintings, and peculiarities that are rarely accessible to the general public.
For years, Banksy has roamed the streets of the world, leaving his mark in secret. To kick off the opening of the new gallery, a curated collection of artworks from the artist’s extensive journeys will be showcased. The exhibition will feature pieces from various destinations such as England, the Middle East, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and the Caribbean.
In addition, guests have the opportunity to admire renowned masterpieces like Balloon Girl, NOLA, GDP, a Dismaland balloon, and Flower Thrower.
The exhibition will showcase over 30 unique artworks and collectibles created by the artist over a period of 23 years, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace.
