Betting on college football

Even though the season has yet to kickoff, there are plenty of college football odds listed at DraftKings Sportsbook MI.

College football national title odds

If you’re looking for NCAA football futures odds on the national title or conference winners, you’re in luck.

Alabama is the national title favorite, with odds at +175. That’s a low number for such a wide field, but the Crimson Tide are the Crimson Tide, and they return a lot from last season’s runner-up, including star quarterback Bryce Young.

Ohio State is second in the eyes of online sportsbooks at +300, while Georgia is third at +400. There’s a significant dropoff to Clemson at +1000, and an even larger one to the next tier, with USC and Texas A&M each at +2500.

Michigan is +4000, while Michigan State sits at +1200.

The Wolverines and Spartans have shorter odds to win the Big Ten, of course, but Ohio State is a heavy favorite. The Buckeyes are -215 to win the conference, after watching Michigan hoist the trophy in Indianapolis a year ago.

Michigan is +600 to repeat, while Michigan State is at +2800.

DraftKings also offers odds on making the playoffs or making the title game.

NCAA football regular season win totals odds

For those not confident their favorite team can chase down college football’s behemoths, there are also regular season win totals odds.

Michigan’s regular season over/under for wins is set at 9.5, with the under as a slight favorite (-125) and the over at +105. Michigan State’s total is set at 7.5, with the over favored at -130 and the under at +110.

Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia are all listed at 10.5, but each has the over as greater than -200.

DraftKings also offers conference win total and alternate regular season win total markets.

College football Week 1 spreads

Odds are available for the first weekend of the college football season, which is Aug. 26 and 27. That includes a Big Ten matchup between Nebraska and Northwestern. The Cornhuskers are 12.5-point road favorite in the game.

Most of the heavy hitters start the next week, however. Michigan State opens the season as a 19.5-point home favorite against Western Michigan on Friday, Sept. 2. Michigan, meanwhile, is a 29.5-point favorite in its home opener against Colorado State on Saturday, Sept. 3.

That day features some big games nationally, as Oregon plays Georgia, and Notre Dame travels to Ohio State. There’s a heavy favorite in each of those games, however, as Georgia is -17 and Ohio State is -15.5.

Heisman Trophy odds

Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud has emerged as the Heisman Trophy favorite, listed at +220. The junior quarterback is at the helm of what’s expected to be an electric offense, and has perhaps the best receiving core in the country.

Alabama’s Young is second at +380, followed by USC quarterback and Oklahoma transfer Caleb Williams at +700. Dozens of players are listed after the favorites, led by Alabama outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr. at +1600.
