Detroit Lions odds have stayed consistent this season. And a familiar face will bring a familiar position, according to oddsmakers.

The Lions will be an odds underdog for the seventh time in as many weeks this season on Sunday in a Week 7 matchup at the Los Angeles Rams.

The meeting will be a much-anticipated rematch against former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, who has the Rams rolling in the early season.

Odds at Michigan sportsbooks have the Lions as 15.5-point underdogs for the game at the Rams, according to FanDuel SportsbookDraftKings has the spread at 14.5 points for the game, which has a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood

The over/under for the game is 50.5 points, according to those same sportsbooks.

Over the summer, the Lions were tabbed as 13.5-point dogs for the game, though the teams have gone in decidedly different directions since then.

Matthew Stafford spent 12 seasons in Detroit with mixed results

The Stafford Experience with the Lions was a confounding one.

There’s no denying his talent and production. The No. 1 pick of Georgia in 2009, Stafford brought a downtrodden franchise back to respectability at times.

But in true Lions fashion, there were plenty of valleys and not nearly enough peaks. Stafford lost all three of his playoff games for the Lions and never won the NFC North division title.

You can put plenty of blame on Stafford for that, but no other quarterback has sustained success in Detroit for several decades. So quarterbacking the Honolulu blue and silver could just be a rigged game.

In 12 regular seasons with Detroit, Stafford was 74-90-1. With the Rams so far, Stafford is 5-1.

Lions lose another one in 34-11 drubbing to Cincinnati

The Lions are now the last remaining winless team in the NFL after falling hard to the Cincinnati Bengals 34-11 on Sunday.

The score was closer than the game, which was a rout from start to finish.

Lions quarterback Jared Goff is overmatched in the position, but Detroit has no better answer under center.

Second-year Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw three touchdown passes in the road victory.

Rams are one of the success stories of the early NFL season

The Rams, meanwhile, let the good times roll on Sunday with a 38-11 massacre of the New York Giants.

Stafford threw for four touchdowns and the Rams defense forced four turnovers.

The former Lions QB was 22-of 28 passing for 251 yards and one interception.
