BetMGM takes the top spots
If you were looking for a life-changing payday, BetMGM Casino looked to be the place for you.
BetMGM was the lone casino to record a jackpot of over $1 million, while another reached $991,000.
Altogether, BetMGM produced 10 jackpots at $249,000 or more.
Four Winds Casino also was up near the top, with two jackpots right around $500,000 this year.
In regard to the time of year, June was the hot month in the state. The sixth month produced four of the top 10 jackpots over the last year. That combined for nearly $3 million.
Divine Fortune tops the games list
While Bison Fury earned the highest jackpot of the year, another game found itself most frequent on the list.
Divine Fortune and Divine Fortune Touch accounted for five of the top 25 jackpots.
While Golden Nugget Casino didn’t get any jackpots in our Top 25, Divine Fortune was a big winner for their users as well. Their top five progressive jackpots of the year came from the game, with a high of $108,030.
Over $1 billion of revenue in first year of online casinos
Earlier this month, Michigan became the third state in U.S. history to generate more than $1 billion in annual revenue from its online casinos and poker rooms.
Altogether, Michigan recorded $1.1 billion in gross revenue from its online casinos and poker rooms. That also generated $279.3 million in state taxes.
Those numbers were following a month of December that saw $121,760,593 in revenue from online casinos across the state.
