Thursday Night Football is back, as is the FanDuel Sportsbook at MotorCity Casino weekly NFL odds boost.

The promotion scored for the first four weeks of the season. After it finally lost in Week 5, there was no Thursday night game in Week 6.

To be fair, most of the NFL season will pass before online gambling goes live in Michigan, so retail sportsbooks are fighting for market share in the meantime.

One way to attract customers is by offering promotions, free bets, and odds boosts.

A handful of retail sportsbooks have told Playinmichigan they plan to offer promotions this fall, but only FanDuel has been front and center with weekly NFL odds boosts.

This week’s boost is all about TNF’s NFC East battle between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

NFL Week 7 odds boost features Philadelphia and the over

If the Eagles win and their game against the NY Giants hits the 44.5-point over, bettors will have winning odds boosted from +200 to +250.

There is a $200 maximum bet on the promotion and only one such parlay bet is allowed per customer.

FanDuel had the Eagles as a 4.5-point favorite on Thursday at noon, so they are prohibitive favorites.

The over is 4-2 in Eagles games so far this season and 2-4 in Giants games. The 44.5-point total would be one of the lowest on the Week 7 board.

According to FanDuel on Thursday morning, 57% of moneyline bets and 61% of the moneyline money wagered was on the Eagles, though the values of those bets were not specified. Likewise, 63% of bets were on the over, including 58% of the money.

On Thursday afternoon, FanDuel had a 44-point total set.

(UPDATE: The Eagles missed a 2-point conversion in the final minute that would’ve secured a win for this bet. Better luck next time.)

Thursday FanDuel odds boosts riding high

Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City got the MotorCity hot streak started.

The Super Bowl champion quarterback cashed a boosted parlay in Week 1 against Houston as his three touchdowns and a Chiefs’ win scored for +250 (boosted from +154).

In Week 2, Ohio rivals Cincinnati and Cleveland scored more than 9.5 points in the first quarter and the Browns won, winning that boosted parlay at +250 (boosted from +169).

The following week, another in-state game cashed in for Detroit bettors. Jacksonville and Miami scored at least a touchdown apiece in each half, winning a +200 bet (boosted from +142).

Denver and the New York Jets made it four straight, scoring 15 or more points apiece, a bet boosted from +104 to +140.

The streak stopped in Week 5 as Tampa Bay and Chicago did not score a touchdown apiece in each half, a bet that was boosted from +205 to +260.

So now the question is: Will FanDuel’s NFL odds boost win streak resume?

Sunday odds boost is a three-team moneyline parlay

FanDuel also has an odds boost available for Sunday’s NFL slate.

There, FanDuel is offering a +275 bet for a three-team, moneyline parlay. The legs for the bet are New Orleans over Carolina, Cleveland over Cincinnati, and Green Bay over Houston.

The original odds paid at +215. There is a $200 max bet and only one is allowed per customer.
