The Michigan Gaming Control Board announced Thursday it has authorized Soaring Eagle Gaming as the state’s 15th online sports betting and casino operator.

Soaring Eagle Gaming, the Saginaw Chippewa tribe’s gaming arm, launched its internet gaming and sports betting site, Eagle Casino & Sports.

Eagle Casino & Sports goes live

Soaring Eagle Gaming has partnered with platform provider GAN. The new platform has met Michigan’s regulatory requirements for licensing and is live now.

“Michigan now has a full complement of 15 internet gaming and sports betting providers with the authorization of Eagle Casino and Sports,” said Henry Williams, executive director, Michigan Gaming Control Board. “All of Michigan’s federally recognized tribes are offering internet gaming and sports betting. I congratulate the Saginaw Chippewa tribe as they expand their gaming offerings.”

Eagle Casino already offers more than 100 slot options and over a dozen table games. That includes live-betting roulette, blackjack and baccarat. Evolution is the live-dealer game supplier for Eagle Casino.

“The wait is finally over! Our loyal guests can continue to engage with Soaring Eagle no matter where they are in Michigan.” said Kristina Griffus, Director of iGaming and Sports Betting Operations.

Melinda Coffin, CEO added, “The Soaring Eagle team has worked diligently for quite some time to bring you the best online gaming and sports betting experience.”

Big April for Soaring Eagle

Soaring Eagle’s launch of their online platform coincides with the opening of Ascend Sportsbook back on April 4.

Ascend Sportsbook is Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort’s retail sportsbook, the 13th to open in the state.

“Ascend Sportsbook is the perfect spot,” Griffus said. “It’s a great place to watch a game and it really has all the elements that make for a great sportsbook. It’s an energetic game-day atmosphere, has plenty of TV’s, and you can’t beat the food and drinks.”

The new sportsbook contains 25 televisions, 14 self-betting kiosks and two sports ticket writers for face-to-face betting.
