Soaring Eagle Announces April 4 Opening For Ascend Sportsbook

Michigan is set to get another retail sports betting option as of Monday. Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort will officially open Ascend Sportsbook on Monday, April 4.

The sportsbook will be located within the casino’s Ascend sports bar, and its grand opening arrives just in time for Monday’s NCAA Tournament championship game.

“Ascend Sportsbook is the perfect spot,” Kristina Griffus, Soaring Eagle’s Director of iGaming and Sports Betting Operations, said. “It’s a great place to watch a game and it really has all the elements that make for a great sportsbook. It’s an energetic game-day atmosphere, has plenty of TV’s, and you can’t beat the food and drinks.”

Ascend Sportsbook will be the 13th retail sportsbook to open in the state.

Opening night plans at Ascend Sportsbook

Soaring Eagle is bringing out the stars to mark the debut of its sportsbook.

Morris Peterson, Mateen Cleaves, and other members of Michigan State’s 2000 NCAA championship team will be on hand to provide analysis of this year’s championship game.

The grand opening is slated for 4 p.m. and will include live music from D.J. JP.

Drink specials will include $1.75 for Coors Light drafts and $2 for Coors Light bottles.

Ascend is also offering a 50% coupon for an appetizer if you make a 3+leg parlay at the sports betting window.

“We have taken considerable time to ensure we have an offering that is customer centered with a focus on true relationship building wagering. Everyone here is very excited and ready to not only meet but exceed all your gaming experiences,” said Melinda Coffin, CEO of Soaring Eagle.

Ascend Sportsbook will join a list of a dozen other retail sportsbook options around the state.

Online sportsbook and casino soon to come

Soaring Eagle remains the odd casino out when it comes to an iGaming & online sportsbook platform.

But, that should also change soon.

With the opening of Ascend Sportsbook, Soaring Eagle is nearing plans to become the 15th online casino and sportsbook option in the state.

Monday’s opening of Ascend is part of Soaring Eagle’s statewide venture into sports betting and iGaming, which will include the Eagle Casino & Sports mobile platform coming later this spring.
